A Bald Head Island family affair

Bald Head is a wedding day paradise – a mile from the mainland but a world away from its hustle and bustle. For Lauren and Hayden, it was an ideal place to host an intimate ceremony at the island’s only chapel, followed by dinner beneath a small tent set up on the patio beside Maritime Market, the island’s only grocery store. There are no cars on the island, so Hayden met me at the ferry drop-off around noon riding a mini-Rolls Royce golf cart.
